After our latest adventures in the UK, we always take flights to London and have some city fun.
2012 is shaping up to be a exciting year to be in London and we’re planning to see these city events:
- Dickens on Film, BFI Southbank and other venues, January 2012. This will be the largest retrospective of film and TV works based on or inspired by Charles Dickens. Premiering at the BFI Southbank in London, it will go on a national and international tour.
- Strictly Gershwin, London Coliseum,January 4-15, 2012. This is the English National Ballet’s popular ballet series presentation. Strictly Gershwin pays homage to George Gershwin, the big band era and the musicals. The production aims to capture the Hollywood glamor of Fred Astaire and Ginger Rogers with Gershwin classics, choreography and design.
- London A Capella Festival, Kings Place, January 12-14, 2012. This popular London festival showcases international vocal talent. In 2012, the Swingle Sisters will lead the festival’s line-up of singers which will include the beatboxing Boxettes, the Finnish vocal glam-rock group Fork and the Canadian Rat Pack Cadence.
